About Me
I first learned about counselling when life presented me with a challenge and I was struggling to move past it. I felt that I was unable to work things out for myself and wanted things to change but didn't know how to go about it. My counsellor helped me to work out a way forward that was right for me but also helped me to realise my own self-worth.
ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL
My practice is in a confidential setting at one of three locations in the heart of Gloucester, Stroud and Cheltenham - I also work on-line via Zoom. In order for my service to be accessible to all, especially during COVID, counselling can take place over the telephone.
I will endeavour to listen and understand what's on your mind and to help you to explore your feelings at this time.
Your therapy will take place in a warm, safe and non-judgmental space which will be yours, week in-week out. Sessions last for 50 minutes which should give you the time and space to talk about what's on your mind.

Hello and welcome to my website,

Thinking about Counselling can be daunting and I know that it is not always easy to ask for help. Sometimes it might help to talk to someone if you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Maybe you are struggling with a recent loss or finding your relationships are hard to deal with.
I hope to work in alliance with you so you are empowered to move forward in a way that is right for you.
I can offer a quiet and non-judgemental place where I will endeavour to understand you and help you to explore these feelings.
Some of the areas I have experience with (but am not limited to) are; anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, relationships, post-natal depression, menopause, autism, IVF and infertility, low self-esteem, relationship issues, negative or intrusive thoughts, addiction, bereavement and divorce.
I have particular experience working with women who have pregnancy-related issues such as infertility, IVF, stillbirth of a child, miscarriage, termination and post-natal depression. I also have experience of working with carers and people who are struggling with the effects of the menopause.
I have mentored and worked with young people at a college of further education in Gloucestershire and am working towards a qualification in working with children and young people. I have previously worked with young people who have experienced ADHD, autism and other issues which are challenging in young adulthood. I also have special interest working with adults on the Autistic Spectrum and adults with ADHD.
I am an individual member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
If you would like to talk with me about what Counselling entails or have any questions please either contact me by telephone or send a message using the form at the bottom of this page.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Warm wishes
Katie Bifulco
